Conflict mitigation by integration of insights from animal behavior study into agriculture management & design.

During the research, we monitored the wild animals in Emek Hafer with motion cameras and developed an artificial intelligence algorithm to filter the images according to species.

We looked for damages from animals in plantations and orchards and on the other hand also benefits that they can contribute to farmers.

The continuous contact with the farmers led to raising awareness and sympathy for the animals that roam the area and their interesting way of life. We are testing the effectiveness of covering the irrigation pipes to minimize damage by spurs.
